Library basics
Library Account
Your Staff or University ID will allow you access to a library card.
Borrowing
Most items in the library can be borrowed; upto a maximum amount of six items at a time for a period of three weeks, except for the leisure collection which is lent out for a four week period.
Returning
When you have finished using a library item please return it to the library as soon as possible. That way others get the chance to use it and you don't risk forgetting about it and incurring an overdue charge.
Renewing
If you need to use a library item at the time of its return date you can usually renew it by contact the library by phone or email.
Photocopying
A self-service photocopying facility is available within the library. If you need assistance just ask a member of staff.
Resources
Access to a variety of bibliographic databases, full text electronic journals and online books, training on literature seaching, current awareness updates and Athens account registration.
Getting Help
Our staff are here to help you in using the library and its resources. Whether it is showing you how the print books and journals are arranged in the library or how to access e-resources, help is available to find the information you require.
