Databases such as MEDLINE, CINAHL,  EMBASE and Cochrane are accessed through National Library for Health. Also check our links page for the many free Internet resources available.

NHS Staff

You can access the library's homepage by clicking on the 'academic' link at the top of Synapse; then go to 'library'. You can access National Library for Health by clicking on the link at the left-hand side or the icon further down the page. You can access this resource from any Internet connection.

Aditus can also be reached from the links page of our website.

PubMed is also available from our links page, together with a training guide showing how best to use it.

Salford University students

There are 2 PCs connected to Salford University  for students to use in the library; you will need a Salford University password to access them. You will then be able to access the Salford University range of networked services. National Library for Health should also be accessible, and our website links should be accessible in the normal way.
