The Injury, Repair & Rehabilitation Group (IRRG)

The Injury, Repair and Rehabilitation Group (IRRG) facilitates research activity in all aspects of injury, ranging from basic cellular and molecular mechanisms of tissue damage and regeneration, through to clinical experimental investigations of tissue injury, including clinical trials and rehabilitation. Within IRRG are the Connective Tissue, Neuroinjury, Rehabilitation and Systemic Injury themes. Information on these may be accessed via the left-hand panel.

The main centres of activity are within the Stopford Building on the main campus and at Hope Hospital, although research is also undertaken at the Manchester Royal Infirmary and the Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility.
